KNIGHT AEROSPACE MEDICAL SYSTEMS LLC provides Ebola patient transport solution.

November 4, 2014, San Antonio, TX.  Knight Aerospace Medical Systems (KAMS) provides comprehensive air medical solutions for an increasingly complex global environment.  Its modular systems are designed for cargo aircraft such as the C130, C17 and various helicopters, allowing for increased flexibility and multi-role utilization.  Its five modular designs address varying needs ranging from stabilization and transportation to medical intervention and biocontainment.  The modules, which can be rolled in, rolled out, and positioned in remote locations, create medically familiar environments to address military readiness, disaster relief and response, and international medical crisis such as the Ebola pandemic threat.

KAMS’ Aeromedical Biocontainment Module (ABCM) is specifically designed for the transport of multiple patients who may have been exposed to chemical biologic agents or emerging infectious diseases such as Ebola.  It is designed to physically separate the patient and medical crew from the airframe. An anteroom with direct visualization and audio capabilities allows for safety observers.

KAMS was formed in July of this year to address the increased demand for aeromedical solutions.  Bianca Rhodes serves as KAMS’ President, CEO and CFO, together with Dr. Craig Manifold, its Chief Medical Officer, John Lane, the Company’s Chief Legal Counsel and Michael Knight, Executive Vice President of Strategic Alliances.  It is an affiliate of Knight Aerospace Products, Inc., (KAPI) which manufactures a variety of products such as VIP transportation modules and palletized systems for cargo transportation aircraft.  It has operated for almost 25 years and has provided products for more than 25 different countries.  Rick Knight, President of KAPI, serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales for Knight Aerospace Medical Systems.  According to Knight, “Our customers have expressed a need for enhanced medical alternatives.  This demand has received increased attention, especially in recent months.”

According to Rhodes, “We are pleased to bring a game-changing product to the market place.  We provide the only modular platform based on a proven structural design approved by Lockheed Martin and the US Air Force.  Our modules leverage the use of capital assets while improving medical outcomes and will serve the global market exceedingly well.”
